Feeling Thankful
December, 2022: A letter from our Executive Director, Judy Rosales
As this year comes to an end, we look back with much gratitude for the opportunity to enable and support community-driven solutions to the increasing threat of catastrophic wildfire and the challenges of an ever-changing climate.
Have you driven Fort Ross Rd. lately? Scheduled the chipper for roadside pickup or relied on rainwater storage when your spring ran low? All this, and more, is your Coast Ridge Forest Council at work.
Please make a contribution, no matter how big or small, to help us meet the challenges of keeping our communities safe and promoting a healthy, resilient forest on the north coast.

By building strong partnerships with local, state, federal, and private entities, we have brought speakers and educators to inform our community about Sudden Oak Death, prescribed fire, PODs for defining fire boundaries, large-scale grazing, wildfire prevention, and drought.
With a focus on individual landowners, we partnered with Cal Fire and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to create application clinics to assist landowners with grant applications to support the development of forest management plans and sustainable land management practices.
Your donor dollars translate into:
- Education programs
- Technical assistance to landowners
- Free chipping services
- Grant writing for large-scale projects
- Monthly newsletters and website updates to keep you informed
- And the sustainability of our community organization.
We invite you to join us in our effort to protect this beautiful region that many of us are fortunate to call home and others come to enjoy for all the Sonoma coast has to offer.
With much gratitude, we thank you for your donation.
Yours truly,
Judy, Wanda, Christopher, Daniel, Demetra, and Melissa
